Transportation
This area is known as the Crossroads of America, ideal for businesses. Three quarters of U.S. businesses are within one day’s truck drive. Interstate connections are abundant, including easy access to I-65, I-70, I-69 and I-465. Boone County is located between Indianapolis and Lafayette along Interstate 65. Lebanon is 35 miles southeast of Lafayette and 25 miles northwest of Indianapolis. Boone County is accessible from I-65; there are three exits for Lebanon and one for Zionsville. On the east side of the county is US 421, or Michigan Road, the oldest commissioned state road in Indiana.

Airport
With its many attributes, Boone County is poised to see many of its best years ahead, as communities look toward quality development, plus greater lifestyle and business options in the future. The area is served by the Indianapolis International Airport, which has major hubs for Federal Express and several airlines. Boone County also hosts the Indianapolis Executive Airport and the Boone County Airport, with 40,000 departures and arrivals annually for businesses in the surrounding area. It is a popular location for both local pilots and celebrities to enter and leave the Indianapolis area.

Recreation
Boone County's neighborhoods host numerous parks. In Lebanon, there is Lebanon Memorial Park, Abner Longley Park, Hot Pond, and James Hill Park. Some of Zionsville's parks include Lion's Park, Jennings Field, Zion Nature Center, Lincoln Park, Starkey Park, Nancy Burton Memorial Park, and the new Rails-to-Trails pathway. In addition, athletic facilities at the three local high schools offer a variety of recreation options, including the weekly community "All Comers" track meets held at Zionsville High School in the summer.

Education
Boone County has three public school districts: Lebanon Community Schools, Western Boone Community Schools, and Zionsville Community Schools. Each school system offers rigorous and extensive coursework; the Zionsville Community School Corporation is recognized to be one of the best school systems in the state and all of the schools in that corporation have been named four-star schools. Lebanon also has a year-round elementary school that has been named a four-star school, and for the past two years Lebanon Community Schools have been named the most improved school system in the state. Students at Boone County high schools have the option to attend the J. Everett Light Vocational Center, a career-training center offered at North Central High School in nearby Marion County. Western Boone High School and Lebanon High School also offer agricultural courses and highly acclaimed FFA programs.

In addition to the many private practices in Boone County, Witham Hospital has been providing quality health care to the residents of Boone County since 1917. Witham's staff includes 180 board-certified primary care and specialty physicians. Witham offers a variety of medical specialties including family and internal medicine, pediatrics, immediate care, rehabilitation services, audiology, cardiology, urology, orthopedics, neurology, ENT, general surgery, medical and radiation oncology, and OB/GYN services. Witham Health Services offers medical offices in Jamestown, Thorntown, Advance and Zionsville, plus a new state-of-the-art hospital in Lebanon.
